Headlines from Plymouth NH

Requiem for a giraffe...

Plymouth, NH, Dec. 28, 2006, 10:00 AM: The IWF issued
a bench warrant this morning for the arrest of Stuart
"Chewey" Swift. He is charged with shaking the
$(*%&(*$&%$%* out of, dismembering, and gutting an
endangered (at least in this household) species.

He was abetted by A. Brodie "Rowdy" Swift, who is also
wanted for questioning in the crime.

Fuzzy giraffe was a highly regarded squeaky toy with a
honk like a goose and several enticing appendages
dangling from all angles. He arrived in the home in
December, and was presented to the accused on Dec. 25.
Following his second repair/amputation (sewed by
Cuz), the popular beast was tortured and subjected to
violent physical abuse by the two errant terriers.

The crime was discovered and reported by this
reporter, who happened on the scene catching the perp
"in the act" with a mouthful of internal organs,
stuffing strewn from one end of the kitchen/dining
area to the other, and spilling down the stairway into
the living room. By arriving on the scene while the
crime was in progress, the culprit was caught
"inflagrante delicto"; he knew he was "busted", looked
suitably abashed and most interested in what was going
to happen next.

Rowdy was caught w/his butt sticking out from under
the tapestry armchair in the LR following discovery of
the main crime scene. This type of behavior is
generally indicative of illicit activity that is being
concealed by terriorists. Upon close examination, a
missing appendage was being devoured by the
accomplice. Authorities immediately confiscated and
discarded the remaining body parts.

Since the noisemaker had been removed in the process
of eviscerating the animal, there was NO HOPE of
surgery for damage repair. The local authorities were
immediately summoned, CSI and cleanup followed
immediately, and the funeral was hastily conducted
over the kitchen garbage container.

The alleged culprits are now in custody, sleeping
peacefully following their frantic exertion, and
sentencing is quite lenient...

Latest Hit Movie now available online

The shooting on location in Helena was simply amazing. The town the townspeople really made this feature what it is and what it will be come after the awards season is over. I just want to thank Montana and Helena for all the cooperation they show our crew during the filming. Thanks so much....

Welcome to the West @ Xmas

Western Whiteout.
News update:
Todd, Shawn's brother and his woman (Maria - from Wolfboro NH) left yesterday morning from Bozeman to make a 11 hour drive to Denver Intl. to pick up her sister that was stranded for 30 hrs. They drove through blinding snowstorms, drifts and side winds up to 55 mph. They saw 3 roll overs and passed 23 cars off the road but made it to DIA, picked up the sister then drove 100 more miles to Cheyenne for the night.

Today they are back on the road and again it is terrible visibility from blowing and falling snow, they think they will complete todays 700 mile drive by 8 pm tonight. The things people have to do for their sister are appauling to say the least.

The Film of the Uneventful Trip to Helena

Montana Alzheimer's Association

The road trip was pretty uneventful. We left around 6:30am PST and got into Helena about 9.5 road hours later, we took a break in Missoula to drop off some gifts and see Em, Lois, Leonard, Marrin and Ian for an hour then drove the rest of the way to H-town. We had pretty good roads although the higher elevations there was some packed powder and ice.

There is some footage of the wiper fluid working but after Missoula it was frozen, and I put in the blue stuff rated for under -15.

Ben was great on the road as usual, still kills us to strap him in for that long. If I was strapped down like that for 9 hours it would kill me. My limbs would seize. I guess my astronaut's career is out of the question now.

New Movies as of December 12 2006 with the camera my Sister and Bro-in-law gave

I didn't have a still of the ultrasound image or I probably would have used that for this post. My sister and Duncan gave our family a new sony handycam for x-mas get more coverage of Ben and the girl (America?) on the way. The links below are for 3 different streaming movies from the new cam. The first two are from goofing around with Ben and the last is the from today's (18 week) Ultrasound in Ballard Swedish.

There will be many more to come, I have decided that movies are pretty fun and I promise the quality will improve as my skills and imagination expands with the millions of feet of tape I will shoot and expose on the internet super highway.

  1. Ben from 12-18-2006 Part I
  2. Ben from 12-18-2006 Part 2
  3. UltraSound of the new girl (America (all 5 inches)) and some outtakes of Big Ben. You may want to turn up the volume on when the ultra part starts, you can hear the tech doing voice over, but it is faint.
