Poor Benja, he has big Pappi's nose. Perhaps it is in this light but it looks like it can't be disputed. He also has simuliar bags under his eyes. I always knew they were genenetic and not due to never going to bed or lack of love. This guy has really changed my life in many ways.

I was not around to watch. Shawn was changing Ben for a couple minutes and low and behold who took over the little bed we put Ben in while in the living room. He sure looks comfy, more so than Ben ever does. Right after Shawn took the shot she dumped over the thing to teach the terrier a lesson in respect. "YOU are number 4!"

Look at Diggers eyes. It is sort of sad. He used to be the only glimmer in Shawn's eyes. He was #3, which is good for a dog. Now he is getting used to #4. For either of these two Shawn is the abosolute #1 and I am somewhere around four. I aspire to climb back upu to the top. It may take a lot of work.

1 st BathHere is the little guy before his first bath. He looks a bit terrified, I don't think he knew or hand any idea of that that sound was coming from the tub tap. That or he just knew he was about to get wet for the first time. I took some shots as well as a movie. He was not happy on his bath float thing regardless of the nice warm water.

Post bath trauma

The 2nd shot is the trauma after the bath. he was very happy to be back in Mumma's arms in a dry towel. Later he went to the Dr for his weight in. He pooped 3 times inside of a half an hour while in the exam room. We ran out of diapers and had to use some of theirs. Funny thing about going to the baby Dr and your baby soils three diapers, you can leave them there. They get you a back and tell you to take care of them yourself somewhere else. I imagine their dumpster would get quite ripe by the time it was trash pick up day.

Cricket in Seattle

Heard the first one tonight I have ever heard here. Come to think of it I am not sure if I have ever heard crickets in the NW. This one sounds much sweeter than the ones I heard out east, all raspy like they swallowed sand. The tone of this one is very soft and melodic, it is on a 12 cycle kind of call for a mate. It probably hopped a container ship from some where exotic.

NFL Sunday and we were not hooked to a tube. We did have some nice good time drinking out on the new space in front of the Wallingford Ranch. The dirt patch is now gone and we have teak to sit on. Looks like a great place to have Octoberfest.

Mother and Son. I love this shot. It was taken in the hospitial and I am not sure why it turned out this grainy. The camera was in my hand and there was no shake just nice grain. The red heart is from one of the machines next to the bed. Shawn is being such a perfect mother to Ben. Caring, concerned and very very loving to the little man. It is what I wished for every youngster in the world.

All excited for his first car ride

Here is the boy on the edge of his seat for the ride home. He just can't wait to see his new digs and diggs.

He was up at 11pm, 2am and 4am last night. Not to bad. Shawn is still sleeping right now, as is the boy.

Me and Ben this morning - tyud!

It was a wild ride but we all made it through. This picture is of me and Ben sleeping on the hospitial ledge bed. Shawn was in the shower and we both thought we would chill out and sleep some more. He was 2 days old in this picture, 3 days old today. Our hospitial experience was very positive. Swedish has a great maternity facility and staff.
