This shot was taken the morning after a major rock slide closed both direction of I-90 on Snoqualmie Pass. The closure effected the homeward bound route of some folks we had visiting from Montana. I haven't found out yet how much of a pain in the ass it was but they had to go way out of their way to get around it. Over Steven's pass and then back down to 90. I urged them to stay the night and watch Monday Night Football but they decided to get up at 4:30 am and make the trip. The WSDOT has a site dedicated to the repair efforts of the road and further precautions they will be taking to prevent this from happening again. If you remember in September three women were killed when a slide landed on their Volvo while returning from a country music concert in the Gorge.
