Montana Ranches near Seeley Lake

Here are the last set of movies from the new camcoder gifted to us from my kind sister and brother-in-law for xmas. We left Helena after 8 days just after a really nice snowfall across the state. It was a beautiful drive up to SR200 through Ovando and then up to Seeley Lake. Prior to departure we were a bit worried about the amount of gifts we received from family while in Helena. There was no way they were going to fit in the element so Grandpa Tom (aka Pop pop) and I drove down to Bozeman for a Yakima Skybox and Rack to haul the loot away. Once it was very simply installed in a snowstorm by yours truly we were off the follow day to Seeley for a family get together over at the Double Arrow where Shawn and I were married.

Part 1

After arriving in Seeley we had some nice times in the Hilltop Lodge @ the DoubleArrow. I highly recommend this accommodation for any sort of family gathering or snowmachine - X\C skiing weekend get away. Ben took his first sled as well as sleigh ride within the same hour.

Part 2

Camo Bighorns

We extended the stay in Seeley an extra day to spend some time with the Great Grand Parents at the Hobbitiat (their cabin) up in back of the Double Arrow in the Swans. I got some good sledding in up there under the direction of Teague, Maggie and Hadley. They all took turns getting towed behind the Gator. Yours truly didn't make the weight requirement for the tow rope so I just filmed it. That night there was the kind of full moon you never forget. All in All it was a great holiday in Montana.

Oh yeah, as a super special bonus for staying the extra night on the way home we saw a herd of Bighorn Sheep right on the side of the road about 5 minutes out of Bonner MT.

Happy 2007 to everyone.
